Long2Learn recognizes the privacy concerns of users of its website and the importance of protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information collected from them. Our web servers track the usage of our website. Consequently, our server logs may contain the following types of information:

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After signing up for a course, your profile picture is visible to other enrollees of the course (s).

Surecart and PayPal

For course payments we use Surecart and PayPal. Some personal data are collected to ensure the payment process is complete. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can or may download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment or participate in the forums or discussions as required by any of the courses you are enrolled to, you automatically opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last until you have cleared them in your browser.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, participate in forum or discussion, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
